Lassen-Applegate Trail Run
July 12-15, 2012
Accommodations: We will be staying at Humboldt River Ranch Association at Rye Patch Reservoir, 22 miles east of Lovelock, NV, 1 mile off Interstate 80.
The Franklins have reserved the following:
Nine air-conditioned, one-room cabins are reserved (queen bed, couch hide-a-bed, table, 2 chairs, dresser, coffee maker, refrigerator). Central Bathroom/Showers. Lodge.
One cabin is reserved by the Franklins, one is reserved by Mr. President, the remaining seven are available on a first-come, first-served basis. To reserve one, please e-mail Dale Franklin: firstname.lastname@example.org. Absolutely no pets are allowed in the cabins or cabin area.
Also reserved and available, are two camp sites close by, on the adjacent river (more are available if needed). Tents, campers, and dogs are allowed in this area.
There are outdoor barbeques at each cabin and a group barbeque area, a pizza parlor/bar across the street, gas available at the Rye Patch exit on Interstate 80. There is a Safeway in Lovelock.
We will be arriving Thursday night with Friday open to go fishing, hiking, boating, shooting, relaxing, etc. Saturday morning at 9:00 we will head out for the trailhead of the Lassen-Applegate Trail, traveling four hours, stopping for lunch and returning. This is a trial run to determine if the full NV to CA trail will be scheduled for next year.
