Boards Crossing Snow Run — Feb 23

This weekend is the club’s one day snow run to Boards Crossing.  The club will meet at the Manteca Wendy’s parking lot on Saturday morning.  We will head out at 7:00 a.m.  Please let me (Darrel) know if you are coming and if you will be caravan’ing up with the group from Manteca or meeting us in Arnold around 8:30 a.m.

We will stop in Arnold for refueling.  There are 3 gas stations in Arnold.  We’ll meet up at the Kwik Serv station (formerly the Sierra Trading Post) on the south side of Hwy 4 next to the Rusty Bear.  Old timers note that this is different than in past years when we met up further uphill at the Chevron station.  The Kwik Serv station has a lot more room to regroup before heading up to Boards Crossing.

Snow level today is expected down to 2,000 feet so we should have lots of new snow to explore.  Saturday is expected to be cold.  You can view the Arnold webcam for current conditions.
