A number of members have had difficulty getting into the web site’s private Members section which is password protected. In addition, some members don’t remember their blog IDs and/or passwords so they can post on the Blog. Here is the information you need.
There are 2 different sections for Madhatters Member information. Because of the way the site is currently arranged these 2 sections have different user IDs and passwords.
Members section #1 — web site Members section
This is accessed from our main website’s home page using 1) the Members link in the top level menus, 2) the Members Site link down the left side of the home page, or 3) the page’s direct URL which is http://www.madhatters4x4.com/Members/MembersHome.html. When accessing the Members page you will be challenged for an ID and password. This requires your first set of credentials which I’ll call your “website credentials”. Every member should have a website ID and password. If you have lost either of these or the ones you have don’t work, please contact me at email@example.com and I can straighten it out for you.
Members section #2 — Blog section
This is accessed from our main website’s home page using 1) the Madhatters Blog!! link down the left side of the home page, or 2) the blog’s direct URL which is http://www.madhatters4x4.com/blog1/. No login is necessary to view the blog. Posting content to the Blog, however, first requires logging in. Log into the Blog using the Log in link at the bottom of the list down the right side of the Blog’s main page (under the Meta header). This requires your second set of credentials which I’ll call your “blog credentials”. Every member should have an blog ID and password. If you have lost either of these or the ones you have don’t work, please contact me at firstname.lastname@example.org and I can straighten it out for you.
These 2 sets of credentials are separate and distinct from each other. You must use your “website credentials” for the Members page and use your “blog credentials” for posting on the blog. I realize having 2 sets of credentials can be difficult to manage and remember. As an aid I can set it up for you so your credentials in these 2 different sets are the same. If you would like this, please send me a note at me at email@example.com asking me to do this for you. Please include what ID you want and what password you want. I will fiddle with the user registries in the website and the blog to bring your 2 sets of credentials together for you.
I hope everyone gets their credentials straightened out so they can use the Madhatters’ online resources. I would like everyone to participate in the Madhatters online community.
Shoot me an email if you have problems/questions/issues and I’ll get you straightened out.
