Club Officer’s Term

This morning I was looking at our Club Web site and noticed that it states in our By-laws that the term for Club Officers is 1 year.
During our January 2011 meeting a motion was made to change the term of office to 2 years. This motion was voted on and approved at the February 2011 meeting, hence the printed copy of the by-laws needs to be corrected to 2 years.

About El Presidante

Past Madhatter President (9 years), Retired Police Officer. A mild stroke in 2011 slowed my wheeling down a bit but I'm still working on getting back in the game. I now am TOTALLY retired. Sue and I are approaching 42 years of marriage and our 2 kids and 7 Grandkids keep me busy. At the top of my priority list is getting all those Grandkids up in the mountains on camping and fishing trips. My bucket list is getting shorter but I've still got a lot of projects in the works.

You are right. I looked back and found the proposed text in the Jan 2011 Mudslinger says two years. The Feb 2011 Mudslinger makes no mention of the club vote on the proposed change which probably means it was adopted as proposed. My recollection is that the change was adopted as proposed.

I updated and reposted the club bylaws to properly say the officers’ term is two years.

The February 2011 MUDSLINGER makes mention that the previous motion was passed.

    Thanks

I’m not receiving Blog post e-mail notifications………. I’m not sure if it’s a network wide glitch or just my computer……. Darrel can you check into this issue?

    Thanks again

I reposted another update to the club bylaws. There was a second change needed to reflect the officer’s term as 2 years. In particular, this latest change says elections occur every 2 years.
